Morning,

Thanks again.

Hey Norm,

Sharon and I want to thank you for the great way you handled our purchase of the 1952 Ford Pickup. Your discussions with Sharon regarding the condition and detailed description before I got involved made my part very easy. The truck arrived in good shape and every thing was as described! We love it!

1956 Thunderbird

Hi my name is Randy I would like to write a review for myself and my wife Sharon we just purchased a 1956 thunderbird from norm at classic investments. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Norm from my first call to when the car was sitting in my driveway was no longer than one week. When the car was delivered it was absolutely beautiful and 100 percent the way described and marketed the bird.I found norm very knowledgeable of thunderbirds and followed clear through delivery and a follow up call to make sure we were satisfied I will certainly recommend norm and not hesitate purchasing another vehicle in his collection that I was interested in thank you so much Norm.

1981 Excaliber Series 4 Phaeton

I just purchased my dream car from Norm at Classic Investments. I first became acquainted with Norm while surfing the internet under classic cars for sale. I have "lusted" for an Excaliber car for years but could never find that one special car of my dreams. Norm had an Excaliber that seemed to satisfy my dream requirements. He described the car as being in showroom condition and suggested I fly to Marrietta personally to inspect it. He even offered to pay for my round trip plane fare if i did not find the car as he described it. i wasted no time and flew to Marrietta the following day. To my delight I found the car to be as he had represented it and I am now the proud owner of a 1981 Excaliber Series 4 Phaeton. I found Norm to be an honest, sincere, and knowledgeable person who I now call "friend".

I want to take a minute to shout-out to everyone, about Norm Cohen and what a pleasure it was to purchase a car from him!

I just bought a 1970 Jaguar XKE from Norm.  Being a car-nut with a modest collection, I know that buying a 50+ year old British car is not for the faint hearted and is not like buying a modern carbon-fiber supercar.  Jaguar XKEs were and are relatively common, made of 1960’s steel meaning there was no rust inhibitor, and so many were used and abused that finding a truly good car and consequently, buying one sight-unseen, based only on the feeling you get from the seller is a little crazy.  But Norm gave me a feeling of utmost confidence.  He added to it by providing testimonials and phone numbers of past customers.  I called them all and was met with words like, “high integrity”, “first class human”, “the car was better than he said”, “amazing follow up”, and more.  The car is stunning.  I didn’t know it, but the owner of the highly-regarded exotic repair shop a few doors away from me is also an expert on XKEs.  When he saw the car unloaded he ran over with a few of his mechanics.  Pocket flashlights in hand, they went over it like inspectors at a car show, talking to each other as they went, “no gas smell”, “new tank and fittings”, “the engine rails are perfect.  No rust there”, “feel these door hinges…solid!”, “even the battery cables have the proper friction ends.  You don’t see that”, and “this is one of the best I've ever seen” from the big-guy himself ......Even after the sale Norm came through, I wanted touch-up paint “just in case”.  Norm hooked me up.  How about that?

Once I have my “Car Parlor” complete, I will be reaching out to Norm to see what he has or ask him to help me locate a few cars I've always wanted to add to my collection.  He has a friend and customer for life!

2018 S450 Mercedes

Good Afternoon:

I wanted to share what a great experience I had with the purchase of my new vehicle - 2018 S450 Mercedes. I dealt with the owner of the car Mr. Norm Cohen - who was very honest and forthright with his intention to sell the vehicle.

He provided all the pertinent information related to the car and was extremely responsive to my calls, texts and emails. The process of purchasing the vehicle was seamless - all documents were prepared and ready for execution.

I have purchased a number of vehicles during my lifetime - without question this was my most pleasurable experience and it was seamless. I feel like I just purchased a "gem" and I know my family and I will enjoy our car experience.

Norm Cohen is about business and I will refer friends and associates to him for future interest in purchasing a vehicle.

1957 Thunderbird

Hi Norm!

There’s an old saying in the car world that “you don’t buy the car, you buy the seller.”  If this is true (and it certainly is in my experience) then working with you on my “new” Thunderbird has been a dream.  Classic Investments blends the speed and efficiency of a full dealership experience with the soft touch of a knowledgeable and hospitable private seller.  Everything from start to finish was swift and easy and you were helpful and communicative the entire time.  I can’t tell you how reassuring it is to have a timely, thorough, and polite response to your emails and texts when you’re contemplating a long drive to see and potentially purchase a classic car.  It can be unsettling to say the least, but it always felt that you were a kindred spirit in that regard and knew how to help a buyer feel reassured before, during, and after the purchase.  As others have said, it was also indeed refreshing to see the car in person and have it be as advertised.  You’re as honest and as straightforward a guy as they come and a true gentleman.  I hope our paths cross again soon on another new toy for the garage!

Norm, For the past several years we’ve been on a national hunt for a ’64 Chevy (which was my 1st car.) I had several requirements: SS, 409, 4 speed, p.s,. p.b., fact a/c, and preferably red. While we evaluated many, they didn’t check all my boxes. We finally located 1 in NC, which you physically inspected it for me, and we made the deal. Following your arranging transport to IA, I was very impressed. On my 1stdrive, when I got on the gas, it brought the “kid out in me!”

Mercedes E320

For all the lore and terror associated with purchasing a used vehicle, Mr. Cohen is unequivocal proof that there are always exceptions to the rule. In other words, the process of acquiring my darling red Mercedes, “Victoria”, was about as smooth, dignified, and satisfying as I could have envisaged.

Mr. Cohen from our very first phone conversation to our final handshake treated with me with respect and consideration. He was also patient and trusting in waiting for my arrival from California to view the Mercedes, having effectively taken the car off the market in the mean time. I was not at all surprised that when I finally met Mr. Cohen I did not feel I was meeting a stranger - he is one of those rare gentlemen whose modus operandi coincides with their character.

Mr. Cohen takes pride in the cars he offers and never tires to answer any milieu of questions regarding them. The E320 was (and still is) in excellent condition. Of course, no vehicle over 25 years old will be perfect. However, when I expressed my concerns to Mr. Cohen he responded with largesse and generosity. Overall, I give high recommendation to Mr. Cohen and his classic car enterprise. Cheers.

Subject: 1955 Chevrolet 3100 (First Series) Pickup Truck - Such a pleasant experience dealing with you

January 9, 2019

Dear Norm,

We wanted to send you a note to thank you for such a smooth transaction in the purchase of your 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup Truck. Buying a vehicle on the Internet is somewhat unsettling, but you welcomed all questions about the truck and encouraged our desire to have the truck inspected by a third party. The truck was exactly as you described it and you were absolutely correct in the fact that it looked much better in person than it did in the pictures (and they show what a real beauty the truck truly is). In fact, during the time we were there looking at the truck, you even pointed out a minor flaw in the paint (your point being that it is a beauty, but not perfect).

We are impressed with your knowledge about the truck and its history. You explained every feature of the truck to us in great detail while we were there for the in-person visit and you have answered every question we asked without hesitation while we were there (and since we returned home).

One factor that is important during a purchase such as this is communication. You have done a wonderful job of keeping us informed every step during this process. You have made the process as easy as possible for us from providing the company to insure the truck (after we asked) to arranging for transportation from Georgia to West Virginia.

By the time we left your house last Saturday, we felt as if we were old friends. Thanks again for such a pleasant experience and if we are ever in the market for another classic vehicle, we will certainly check with you first. In addition, we would not hesitate to recommend you to others who are looking to buy a classic vehicle.

All the best,

1968 Mercedes-Benz 280S

April 24, 2018

Norm,

Update:

  • Fixed Dash lights - corrosion on internal rheostat coils (common issue with old Mercedes-Benz)
  • We've driven it over 150 miles, including some rather enthusiastic miles on back roads to really feel how well it handles on curvy roads - rather impressive for a 50 year old, 3,400 lb car!
  • Took it to a local charity car show for future automotive technicians training at Gwinnett Tech and sponsored by Mercedes-Benz. Received a lot of positive comments. Here are all our pictures from the show (we also took our Opel GT): https://www.flickr.com/photos/dqfiesta/albums/72157668068167298
  • Replaced fuse for radio - still does not work....hmm... may have to remove it and see what can be fixed or else find a modern reproduction with modern features (hidden from view, would look near original)
  • Have a problem with the keys. They only work as Valet Keys, despite have the Master markings on them. I've contacted the dealer and also a key expert to see about getting new Master keys. On our to-do list.
  • Ordered all the normal standard maintenance parts (oil change, filters, etc...) so we can give it a fresh start with new fluids.

Feedback:

Thank you Norman for such great service in the purchase of our beautiful new 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280S. Your ad's description was extremely accurate and the car is exactly what we envisioned. We were able to pick it up completely ready to drive and enjoy. Within a week, we had it entered in a car show and it has been admired everywhere we go in it. At a local German restaurant, we had someone leave their table to come out to look at it and comment on how great the car looks. We also saw people peering out the windows to look at it.

In buying collectible cars (we currently have 10 European cars in our collection), it is great to meet someone who isn't just trying to sell a car but also is knowledgeable about the car and collects them himself. Everything you said about the car was right and it is refreshing to have such a short "to-do list" on a 50 year old car.

Again, thank you for the help and I hope we can stay in touch so when we either buy or sell another collectible car, you will be on our list to contact.

1965 Ford Ranchero

April 24, 2018

Sam and Norm,

Well, the Ranchero made it to MN today. Curiously I was just paying up the tax and fees for the new plates at the AAA were I do this sort of thing, when I received a text from Vic that he was 20 minutes out. I left motor vehicles at AAA and actually caught up with Vic on the road to the farmhouse, where he was delivering Timing was perfect!

There's a trick to using that choke, AM radio is not working. (I'll work on that) and there is no jack. But all else is wonderful! Took it for a spin (played hooky from a job about 1 hour)

Anyway, all worked out well! the carting industry is something else to learn about. I am still getting calls.

And you guys did a spectacular job for me, getting this out, keeping it clean, and shipping it out with care.

Thank you, you are first on the list, of course, if i want to sell this for change out for a differnt vehicle. (But that will be quite a while.)

Thank You!

You are so personable and nice to deal with.  I must say that everything you represented about the car was absolutely true.  It is refreshing today to deal with a man of your character.....you have integrity.  I feel this way as a result of my phone and email communications with you as well as the personal visit and test driving experience.  The car was "spotless" when I arrived at your home....thank you for having in washed and waxed.  I also appreciated the time you spend solving the two minor concerns I had after the independent appraisal on the T-Bird was completed.  Your attention to detail is exemplary!  It was potentially challenging for me to make such an investment in a "classic car" long distance and not knowing you.  However, you took me through it "a step at a time" and my concerns were eliminated one-by-one during the process.

I know I will fully enjoy having this very special car.  Thanks for helping me realize a very important item on my "Bucket List".

The best to you and your family and I hope to see you in La Quinta.

Norm,

The car got here ahead of schedule without a blemish on her and she looks great!

We took it out for a couple of quick spins before the snow came.

It looks and drives fantastic and is everything you said it would be.

It was a pleasure working with you, Norm. You made the process of buying a high end classic about as easy as it gets.

Thanks and we wouldn't hesitate to buy from you again.

55 T-Bird

Norm,

Over 22 years ago I was fortunate enough to meet and later marry the love of my life Robyn.

Not sure what she was thinking marrying a Naval Aviator with 3 kids but lucky for me she did.....

At that time she was driving a late model Thunderbird that frankly wasn't going to work with her ready made family that went from one to five virtually overnight. Putting me and the kids ahead of her needs she sold it and bought a Suburban. Not exactly the sports car of her dreams but it fit the bill of hauling kids to school, soccer games, and many other events.

Fast forward to 2016. Kids have been gone for years, I have retired from a brief 28 year Navy career, and she's become an accomplished Nurse Practitioner always putting others ahead of herself.

I have always felt bad about her having to sell her Thunderbird for the kids and I but she has never said a thing about it.

This year I wanted to do something special for her birthday and you assisted me in making it happen with arguably one of the best gifts ever!.

I've been looking for that special car and while I was not wed to a T-Bird the 1955 you showcased kind of caught my eye.

I'll be honest.... I've never purchased a Ford, know nothing about them, and have been a diehard Chevy guy and motor head all my life.

Well that all changed when you invited me to your home and turned me loose in your garage unsupervised to look at every nook and cranny of your 1955 T-Bird. What I appreciated the most is the way you represented the car, answered my every question, and educated me on what I did know but needed to hear. After our demo ride and brief conversation we parted and I was off to see what else was out there. Before my quest would end I would look at over a dozen other cars traveling to California, Arizona, and Florida. Truth be told none as clean and well put together as yours.

Well, there's nothing like waiting till the last minute but Robyn's birthday arrived and I had a decision to make so I called you up same day and struck what I believe to be a very fare deal on the perfect gift for my bride. What was amazing is I didn't get to the bank till 4PM and the car was delivered to my doorstep by a professional car hauler by 8PM which completely exceeded my expectations. Perfect in everyway all ready for my big surprise.

Norm, I wish you could have been here to see her face. I've attached a couple pics but suffice to say I completely surprised her this year with an amazing treasure that she will enjoy for years. This is going to be hard to top next year. Speaking of tops thanks for all the follow up and detailed instructions on taking hard top off and putting convertible top up. Cant wait for it to get warmer so until then the Hard Top will stay on.

Honestly, I feel like I've not only bought one cool car for my wife but I've made a new friend in the process.

Thanks for everything Norm.

Hope to see you soon.

Warm Regards,

Mark

67 Mustang

Dear Norm,

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude regarding the purchase of my 1967 Ford Mustang.  As a classic car enthusiast myself, I’ve dealt with numerous businesses and individuals over the years when adding to and restoring my collection. I searched the internet for months and when I saw your Mustang online I felt very comfortable and relaxed in the way you described everything so openly and honestly. Norm, I have to say you were very helpful and made my entire Mustang purchase experience effortless. I really appreciate the opportunity to have met you and as a friend I would be honored to recommend you to anyone considering an automobile purchase!

Thank you again for a wonderful experience and for our friendship,

Ron from Michigan

74 Triumph TR6

Norm,

Felt obliged to drop you a line and thank you for the wonderful experience purchasing this “super car”.  Initially, in your description, you said the pictures didn’t do it justice.  That was a monumental understatement.  I have wanted a TR6 for so long, that I would always add it in my prayers, a dream request;  just for me, as a last second thought.  The Lord works in mysterious ways in that I just wanted a TR6, nothing special and one I could afford.  This perfectly restored marvel was well within my budget for a new car and never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be able to afford a car of this magnitude.   Of course doing a transaction over the internet has it’s anxiety periods, but you personally reassured me and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process.  In my lifetime, I have never felt like something good could happen to me, but you have restored my faith in honesty, integrity and workmanship.

This car: unbelievable!  I kept walking into my garage to make sure it was still there.  My Father always taught me that you could tell a great car by how the doors, trunk and hood closed.  You only had to slightly push the door to close and just drop the hood and trunk from about six inches.  Then listen to the sound.  This 1974 has new car body sounds.  The attention to detail in every aspect of the car, from power plant to aesthetics is far beyond what you would expect in a nice new high end vehicle.  The roadster Chevy 283 is pristine and Cobra sounding powerful.  I think the biggest compliment I can dish out is the quote from my eldest son, “Dad, how could you afford a car like this?”  Well, it was affordable, which is why I am the happiest and luckiest man to purchase his dream car.  Being a novice in this aspect, I would also like to thank you for the tips on insurance and personally taking care of getting it shipped direct to my house.  You are a great personality and I have enjoyed our talks and communications throughout.

Anyone in the market for the purchase of a classic car will do no better anywhere than the experience I have had thanks to you.  I would tell new buyers, “shop anywhere in the world you want, but check with Norm last!”  The craftsmanship and attention to detail is what sets you apart.

Thank you for making my dreams come true with the best car, price and service ever!

Sincerely,

Lou from Boulder, CO

Norm, buying the Ford over the phone was a little uneasy. I trusted you and when it arrived, I’m glad I did. My wife loves it, my neighbor wants it, and tonight we’re taking it to Sonic!

1931 Plymouth Roadster

Norm,

It was a pleasure meeting you and ultimately purchasing the subject car.  I was looking for an "A" model Ford in excellent mechanical and good or better cosmetic condition.  I was looking forward to seeing the one you had, but, it sold before I was able to view it.  You then told me you had a 31 Plymouth that was exceptional condition in both mechanical and cosmetic categories.  I was truly impressed with the absolute "show quality" inside, outside & under the vehicle.  It is an absolutely beautiful head turner.  It is of a quality that I did not expect to find and I think our negotiated price is very reasonable.  Thank you for the hospitality at your home and the viewing of your other "Toys" and beautiful property.  It was a very enjoyable transaction.  Thanks for having it delivered to my driveway.  That made it much more convenient for me and more enjoyable for me to get acquainted with it in my own neighborhood.  My toy box is now absolutely at full capacity.

It is really nice to have it full of very high quality, beautiful and fun equipment.

Hope to see you again soon,

Howard from GA

1977 VW Beetle

Dear Norm,

Robert and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you Sunday. The VW beetle convertible is absolutely gorgeous- your attention to detail made all the difference. Thank you for taking me on a test drive to show me how to operate everything. I can't wait until this Spring when we will cruise around in the beautiful blue beetle with the top down! We are both impressed with the quality of this car-from the interior to the exterior. The car really presents well...you helped make this Christmas one I will never forget!

Thank you for taking the time to show us your car collection-we enjoyed that immensely. We appreciate your honesty and integrity in handling the transaction. We would love to connect with you again sometime soon. Please don't hesitate to use us as a reference:

1966 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III BJ8

Hi Norm-
The Healey arrived even earlier than expected, and what a thrill
to see this vehicle in the 'flesh'. I've already been out on a brief
pleasure drive to experience a classic 60's British sports car with all of
the attendant quirks and pleasures. It is the purest of organic driving
that is different from the sophistication and technology seen in modern
cars. All of the mechanical sounds - engine, transmission, etc. are music
to the ears of anyone with a passion for cars, and vintage models in
particular. The handling is nimble,
with braking and steering very responsive.
It's been a pleasure doing business with you, Norm. From start
to finish, I've had a good feeling about the outcome.

Sincerely and with gratitude,

51 Merc

Norm,
I want to tell you that it was very enjoyable meeting with you yesterday to show me the car and to do business with. Your knowledge of the 51 Mercury was a huge plus. I just cant say enough about the time you saved me by providing the detailed photos, describing the condition of the car prior to my visit, having the paperwork ready and helping with a shipper. I will surely enjoy the car and let you know when it arrives. Please keep me posted or send an email occasionally with the other cars you will be selling from your collection.

If you would like to use me as a reference that would be fine.

75 Limo

Hi Norm!

I unloaded the Limo last night with great excitement. What a gorgeous car! It looks sweet parked in the garage next to our other classics. Thanks for holding the car for me until Duane was able to pick it up Tuesday. I really appreciate your help with coordinating the pickup and meeting him at the shopping center with the car.

It was a pleasure to deal with you from the first phone call to the final detail of the transaction. Your description of the car was accurate and I sincerely hope we will do business again.

All my best to you my friend!

Rick

Metro

Dear Norm:

What you see is not always what you get. When I saw the Metropolitan for sale in Hemmings it looked great in the picture. It looked just as good when it was delivered. Thank you for always answering my inquiries and for all your assistance in arranging the transportation. The car is just as you described. It's a gem. It's really been a pleasure.

1955 Thunderbird

I am new to hobby of collecting classic/antique cars. I responded to an
ad on the internet by Norm for a 57 Thunderbird and I drove from Columbia,
South Carolina to Marietta, Georgia to see the car.
Norm had the car sitting in the driveway of his beautiful home. He spent
over 2 hours teaching me all about what to look for and how to evaluate a
the car being considered for purchase. He is an encyclopedia of cars. Norm
worked as a teenager putting himself through school restoring old cars,
never dreaming he would be the owner one day of a very "significant"
an eclectic collection of over 50 vintage cars.
I didn't buy the baby bird that I went to see, but Norm found me exactly
what I wanted in his baby bird collection. I left not only owning the car
of my dreams at a very fair price, but I made a new friend.
It is hard to find a person in this business that has honor and integrity,
but Norm is the one. He has bent over backward to do everything he could
to make this purchase feel right. He even called in favors to get my new
bird transported to Columbia.
I highly recommend Norm to anyone considering one of his cars. What I like
best is knowing that he does not need to sell me a car to put food on the
table. To him, it is the satisfaction of seeing others enjoy cars as much
as he does and to not be the kind that will "say anything" to make a sale.

51 Mercury

In April of 2006 I bought, as a wedding gift for my husband, a 1951 Mercury Sports Sedan from Mr. Norm Cohen.  The car was all 100% original, and meticulously maintained.

We loved our “Fleet Footed Messenger of the Gods”, the Mercury.  We enjoyed driving it on weekends and errands and people would actually follow us home to take a closer look and chat.  Wherever we went it drew admiration, horns honking and waves.

Unfortunately, in March of this year (2013) I fell ill and have had four surgeries, with another scheduled soon.  We were faced with an unhappy decision, to sell the Mercury.

I contacted Mr. Cohen again, hoping for a way to turn, in selling the car.  Mr. Cohen came to our rescue; he purchased the car back from us.

Mr. Cohen has been a wonderful person to us; we have been very blessed to have such a relationship with him.  We would recommend him to anyone without reservation.

Studebaker

Norm,

Just to let you know that I’ve had another awesome year with the Studebaker.  She was featured in Honolulu’s gigantic Martin Luther King day parade.  About a month later she was put on display at the Motor Trend First Hawaiian Auto Show in our gigantic convention center.  And, between then and now I could not count the number of folks I’ve taken on one car parades through Waikiki.  My most recent passenger was renown concert classical guitarist, Antonio Carlos Barbosa-Lima, who has now played Carnage Hall once and my living room twice.  I tell everybody that the Studebaker is the most fun you can have with your clothes on. I sure am glad I had a chance to do business with you.

65 Buick GS

Dear Norm,

It was a pleasure meeting you and doing business with you. Dick looked at hundreds of cars before he found the 65 Buick GS that you were offering for sale. It is a fantastic car and I am sure we will enjoy it for years to come. We both love that era of car and it is definitely a first class show car. Not only did we get a nice car but we acquired a good friend as well. Thanks for all of you help with arranging shipping and making sure that the car haulers handled the car properly. Thanks again.

58 Chevy Impala

Dear Norm;

We want to thank you for sending us the 1958 Chevrolet Convertible that was more beautiful than her photos “Queen Victoria.” For your attention to detail in all aspects of this sale. For your willingness to quickly respond to and readily answer all of our numerous and seemingly endless questions. For listening to our “story” of winning our first trophy on the drag strip in our teens with the exact blue colored 58 Chevy convertible in 1960 and always hoping to find and own another some day. For being so patient while we tried to complete this sale during the Christmas holiday and your willingness to assist with any minor glitch that came along. For the special treatment afforded to our friend who graciously offered to personally evaluate the car for us. For arranging for the shipping and delivery. The quilt is not complete yet-more photos will follow.

Sincerely;
Ron and Su from Albuquerque, NM

VW Eurovan

Norm,

I would like to thank you for the opportunity to purchase your 2002 Volkswagon Eurovan Weekender. I know that long distance vehicle deals can be difficult. I appreciate how you handled my purchase, with understanding and flexibility, despite some of the unique payment requirements and travel logistics. It was a pleasure to work with you and to be trusted to hold up my end of the bargain.

As for the quality of the vehicle, I couldn't be happier! This vehicle is exactly what you said it would be, near perfect condition with all the options in good working order. We have already spent hours enjoying enjoying the roomy passenger area and giving tours of the New Orleans area to out of town family and friends. I look forward to doing the same for you the next time you visit the Crescent City.

Thanks again for everything,
Ozzy from New Orleans

1963 Rolls SCIII

Dear Norm:

I would like to thank you for selling me this beautiful 1963 Rolls SCIII.
I took the chance buying the car unseen.  It was delivered here to my shop in So Cal looking every bit as good as in your photos on the internet.
You described the car to me on the phone and when it arrived here I was thrilled that the condition was even better that what you had described.
Once again, many thanks Norm and I look forward to getting together with you in person.

Best Regards,
Tony from Los Angeles
